These Chinese-built trainers are unique in airshows. Based on the Russian Yak-18, they were produced as late as 2007 in a modernized form with more power, strengthened fuselage and greater fuel capacity. More than 10,000 of all types were produced. The Nanchang CJ-6 is popular with pilots worldwide who appreciate the sturdy qualities, reliability and personality of these Chinese warbirds.
