Stinson L-5 Sentinel

Stinson L-5 Sentinel

The L-5 known as the “Flying Jeep” originated from the Stinson HW-75, a high winged 75 HP civilian aircraft. The L-5 was a liaison aircraft with the primary purpose of courier and communication work, artillery spotting and casualty evacuation. In later models the fuselage was redesign in a wider configuration to accommodate cargo and act as an air ambulance.
