M16 Half Track

The M16 Half-Track, officially the M16 Multiple Gun Motor Carriage, is a World War II U.S. Army anti-aircraft vehicle based on the rugged White M3 half-track chassis and armed with four .50 caliber Browning M2 machine guns in a Maxson mount. Designed to provide mobile air defense for ground troops, it could deliver devastating firepower at up to 450 rounds per minute per gun while maintaining the half-track’s signature combination of wheeled front axle and tracked rear drive for excellent mobility across varied terrain.
